Radon gas is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the US and is linked to approximately 21,000 deaths each year. Radon is a colorless, odorless, inert gas, that escapes through the soil into crawl spaces as well as penetrations and cracks in your concrete slab.  The EPA radon maps identify areas in Alabama, Tennessee and GA that have the highest potential to see concentrations of radon above the action lever of 4 pCi/LWith a simple test the dangers of radon exposure can be identified and reduced by the installation of a radon reduction system

 Affinity Group’s Indoor Environmentalist is certified by NRPP (National Radon Proficiency Program). We can provide you with the option of a 2 day, 4 day or up to an 8 day radon test. Our radon monitor test will give you an hour by hour reading of radon levels vs the charcoal testing that provides an overall average reading.  Our test results will allow you to see when the level peaks and could be the most dangerous, identifies relative humidity, temperature and barometric pressure. You will receive your results within 48 hours after the monitor is removed from the home.  Please call our office for additional information, pricing, and scheduling.
